Do I need an appointment?
No, appointments are not required! We welcome walk-ins for all services. Just stop by during our business hours, and we will get you sorted out quickly.
What do I need to bring to transfer a title?
Generally, you will need the current Certificate of Title (signed by the seller), a Bill of Sale showing the purchase price, and your unexpired Driver’s License. If the vehicle is less than 10 years old, an odometer disclosure is also required.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, personal checks (with matching ID), debit cards, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex).
Can I renew tabs for a family member or friend?
Yes, but there are restrictions. You generally need to have the same last name or address listed on your ID. If not, you will need a written note of permission from the registered owner along with the renewal notice or payment check signed by them.
I just moved to Washington. How do I register my car?
Welcome! You’ll need your out-of-state title (or registration if the title is held by a lienholder/bank) and your ID. We will help you apply for a Washington title and issue you new plates on the spot.
I lost my title. Can I get a replacement immediately?
Yes! In many cases, we can issue a “Quick Title” right here in the office, so you leave with the document in hand. Standard replacements (mailed from Olympia) are also available for a lower fee.
